After the success of our biggest partner conference to date in October, Avaya ENGAGE 2019, in November, couldn’t come soon enough.
“Embrace the new,” was the motto set before the event, by the VP of Avaya International, Fadi Moubarak. “New solutions, new customers, and new deployment models.” Having echoed this sentiment through the year, we were ready.
Thousands made the trip to Avaya ENGAGE – the company’s biggest technology event for the international region – with the future of communication and the Art of Experience being the topics of the day.
Aura in the United Arab Emirates
With the conference based at the iconic Atlantis, The Palm in Dubai, we couldn’t have asked for a more stunning destination.
Jonathan Harris, Camilo Perez and Joel Heasman were in attendance from Aura Alliance. We were also joined by colleagues from our global team across the UK, Hong Kong and Japan, who helped to demonstrate the power of our global capabilities.
We would like to thank everybody who visited our stand and contributed towards such a worthwhile event for us. As always, re-connecting with familiar faces and making new connections is what brings us to Avaya ENGAGE every year.
We even managed to fit in some fun and games! We accepted a ‘deadly serious’ bowling challenge from our friends over at Nectar Corp one evening. While Joseph Fuccillo from Nectar won on most points overall, our very own Jonathan Harris got the fastest bowl – and we all know that’s the most important thing!
The Art of Experience
Over the course of two action-packed days, we were joined by more than 1,000 Avaya customers and partners from across the globe, to go all in on the Art of Experience. But what exactly is this new artform, we hear you ask?
No matter who or where you are, digital communication will be part of your life. And, your experiences with these technologies will continue to change in the years ahead.
What will these experiences look like? What will they feel like? And how will they be created?
That’s exactly what we were discussing at Avaya ENGAGE 2019. At his presentation in the expo theatre, Jonathan Harris highlighted how we can bridge the gap between the new experiences of the future and existing legacy systems.

What’s Next for Communications?
So, what will impact the future of communications? Throughout 2019, the cloud has been important for Avaya, but this focus shifted to the next gear in Dubai.
